Week 8- MBA 6601- AI and AG in Nursing Clinicals?

Its funny in the last week of this course I am on Tik Tok and Facebook, both of which use AI to help create an algorithm to create the best experience for users, and I have Medical AI show up on my feed. I some how made it onto to Medical AI Tik Tok, which I learned is now a thing. With the advancements in healthcare, technological advancements the way we learn continues to revolutionize patient care and clinical practice. One of the most promising developments in recent years has been the integration of artificial intelligence (AI) and augmented reality (AR) into nursing clinical settings. This powerful combination not only enhances the efficiency of healthcare delivery but also improves the quality of patient outcomes through innovative applications.

AI plays a crucial role in nursing clinicals by assisting in diagnostics, treatment planning, and patient monitoring. AI-powered algorithms can analyze vast amounts of patient data in real-time, helping nurses make informed decisions swiftly. This capability reduces human error and allows nurses to focus more on direct patient care, thereby enhancing overall patient safety. Moreover, AI-driven predictive analytics can anticipate patient needs and potential complications, enabling proactive interventions that can significantly improve recovery rates and reduce hospital stays.

Augmented reality, on the other hand, enhances nursing education and training by providing immersive simulations and interactive learning experiences. Through AR, nursing students can practice complex procedures in a simulated environment that closely mirrors real-world clinical settings. This technology bridges the gap between theory and practice, allowing students to develop confidence and proficiency in a risk-free space. Furthermore, AR can be used in patient education to visualize anatomy, explain treatment plans, and improve patient understanding and compliance. This is what I got to see on my social media feed the other day. I attached the link down below.

In conclusion, the integration of AI and augmented reality into nursing clinicals represents a paradigm shift in healthcare education and practice. Though this is already being done, it is with the computer software which earlier we discussed is different from AI. If you do one thing you get this response which would be different from if you did a different thing. AI give the ability to have more realistic interactions with "patients" which allows for better patient care in the future and better practice. These technologies empower nurses with advanced tools for decision-making, enhance patient care outcomes, and provide immersive learning experiences that prepare the next generation of healthcare professionals. As AI and AR continue to evolve, their potential to transform nursing practice for the better remains limitless, promising a future where innovation and compassion converge to elevate the standard of care across the healthcare industry.
